Salmon Stew

1 (14 3/4 oz) can Salmon, remove bones and skin
(You could use 2 of the 6 oz boneless and skinless cans of salmon if you don't want the work of cleaning one can.)*Another option is to use chicken instead of the stew. From time to time I use chicken if I have leftovers*
1/2 to 3/4 of a gallon of Milk
1 to 2 tablespoons of Butter
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 Potatoes peeled and diced
Oyster or Saltine Crackers

Peel the potatoes and boil until tender.
Drain those and put them back into the large pot.
Add the salmon, milk and butter.
Heat until boiling and season to taste.
Serve with Oyster Crackers.

If your family will eat onions, I'd suggest adding them for a much more flavorful stew.
